December is going to be an emotional roller coaster for pop music fans worldwide. Recent reports have announced that both Rihanna and Adele are dropping albums at the end of 2019, leaving fans mentally preparing for back-to-back dance breaks and cry sessions.
News of the Rihanna album was dropped at an event held by Universal Music France and reported on by Hip Hop n More. Rihanna, whose last album, Anti, came out in January of 2016, confirmed she was working on a new album three months ago in an interview with Mag. Without a release date, fans are hesitant to believe these rumors.
A close source also told People magazine that “[Adele] is definitely getting ready both mentally and physically to promote new music. It seems it will happen later this year.” This female singer, too, hasn't released new music in years, her last album, 25, dropping four years ago.
While Twitter is going crazy for this batch of new music "news," the lack of details is causing some doubt and hesitation in celebrating too soon.
