Appreciate the Now

Most of the Globe is currently on indefinite lockdown. Lots of families are locked in together and I'm pretty sure the circumstances, maybe even a bit of Cabin Fever is starting to get to some of you.

That's okay, it happens to the best of us. Some of us would, however, give anything to be with their family.

Consider yourself lucky, irritable possibly, but unbelievably lucky if you're fortunate enough to have your most cherished ones with you.

In a world of uncertainty, nothing, and I repeat nothing is more precious than family.

I would do anything to be with mine. I envy you if you wake up to the sound of laughter or a nagging spouse.

Loneliness is not all it's cracked up to be, in fact, it's more like being a host to a parasite slowly draining your very essence.

There's a lot of things to complain about now. Endless lists of negativity to feed off, but I implore you, don't add your family to that list.

I lost mine, it's no one's fault but my own, so don't care to feel sorry for me. Regrets though, they haunt you when you're awake and even worse in your nightmares when you're asleep.

Don't be me, please don't wake up when the clock's run out. Appreciate the now whilst you have the opportunity.

Ignore this and let me know how the endless pain goes for you because you've been forewarned.

Nothing else matters, and I promise you this, they are not kidding when they say you don't know what you had until it's gone.

Don't wait for it to be gone, love and appreciate each other now, today, this very second. The sooner the better.

You won't regret it, I can vouch for that.
