Gear up, assassins! Ubisoft has officially announced the release date for the newest title in the Assassin's Creed series: Valhalla. We don't know everything yet, but the concept looks amazing, and the game promises to be one of the most customizable and immersive yet. Take a look at the announcement:

"...lead your clan from the harsh shores of Norway to a new home amid the lush farmlands of ninth-century England. Explore a beautiful, mysterious open world where you'll face brutal enemies, raid fortresses, build your clan's new settlement, and forge alliances to win glory and earn a place in Valhalla.

England in the age of the Vikings is a fractured nation of petty lords and warring kingdoms. Beneath the chaos lies a rich and untamed land waiting for a new conqueror. Will it be you?"

What I think I like most is that Vikings don't seem to be stereotyped in this installment. It's common in popular media to depict Vikings as mindless murder machines, but it was as complex a culture as any other, and one that would eventually shape England, the surrounding territories, and even the English language into what it is today!

November 17th, 2020 can't come soon enough!
