Since the release of Cyberpunk 2077 there have been a myriad of issues, but one of the biggest problems comes with trying to play on a PlayStation 4 or Xbox One. There aren't many major flaws beyond what has become commonplace in video games nowadays when playing on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, os Windows PC. However, the last-gen systems can't run the graphics properly resulting in lags, dropped frame rates, and de-rendered character models. This comes on top of the bugs that already need to be patched and many consumers are not happy.

Earlier this week, the developer CD Projekt Red released a statement on Twitter. They apologized for marketing next-gen graphics as what would be shown on the last-gen consoles, admitting they didn't pay enough attention to making it playable for PS4 and Xbox One users. They also said they would fix the bugs and crashes that are continuous in the game and offered a refund to those that didn't want to wait for patches to come out. There was a catch though, CD Projekt Red told players to request a refund through the retail partners like Microsoft and Sony but had no official refund policy in place. Microsoft already has a generous refund policy for up to 14 days to return any game. But there was a problem for PlayStation users, as their store doesn't have to offer refunds.

Thankfully, on December 17th Sony came to its senses and started making exceptions for players who purchased Cyberpunk 2077. PlayStation released a statement on their website saying, "SIE strives to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction, therefore we will begin to offer a full refund for all gamers who have purchased Cyberpunk 2077 via PlayStation Store. SIE will also be removing Cyberpunk 2077 from PlayStation Store until further notice. Once we have confirmed that you purchased Cyberpunk 2077 via PlayStation Store, we will begin processing your refund. Please note that completion of the refund may vary based on your payment method and financial institution." Cyberpunk 2077 has already been pulled from the store. Hopefully, CD Projekt Red will be able to quickly and efficiently make patches to the game so last-gen users can enjoy Cyberpunk 2077with everyone else.
