As flights are increasing due to looser travel restrictions, Delta Air Lines is taking COVID-19 regulations very seriously. A Delta flight returned back to the departure gate after having already moved due to a passenger refusing to wear a mask on the flight, confirmed by Deadline Detroit. 

A representative for Delta Air Lines, Kristin Seay, stated that the airline requires masks in order to maintain the health and safety of its passengers and crew members. "The customer was removed from the plane and the flight departed without incident," she said. 

The flight was taking off from Detroit headed to Los Angeles. The plane took off to LA after a short delay caused by the incident. The identity of the refusing passenger was not shared.
