A bizarre transition happened on former Drake & Josh star Drake Bell's social media pages. All of a sudden, the controversial singer and actor changed his last name to 'Campana,' which translates to 'Bell' in Spanish. He started posting videos and releasing music in Spanish, as well.

After rebranding himself as a person as well as an artist, he has gone viral on many social media platforms. "i genuinely can’t believe that drake bell changed his name and left the country and became a spanish pop artist what the fuck," someone posted on Twitter under the handle @veeortega.

This drastic rebranding came after Bell tweeted out about a year ago in Spanish: "mis redes sociales ahora solo estarán en español, no más inglés," he said. This translates to: My social networks will now only be in Spanish, no more English. When asked about the change, he told Esquire that he "wanted to do something for the fans of Mexico, with Latin rhythms, and I wanted to do something like what I have heard on my tours and visits to Mexico, I love writing in Spanish, it is a beautiful language."

Fans are alleging that he basically ran away from his life in the United States following the emotional and physical abuse allegations by former girlfriend Jimi Ono. She posted about her experience with Bell on TikTok. Read more about the allegations here

He publicly denied the allegations through a statement to Variety, via his reps.
