Experts Warn To Stay Cautious During Labor Day Weekend

It has been a trend since the coronavirus outbreak for rates to spike right after any major holidays such as Memorial Day and the Fourth of July. Public health experts are accounting for people easing up on restrictions for the upcoming Labor Day weekend and warning to stay vigilant and cautious if you intend to celebrate. 

The tourism economy has been so down that local governments have been lifting COVID-19 restrictions to revive the tourism scene and small businesses. Many small towns in the United States and across the globe survive off of tourism.

Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the NIAID, advised on the Today show to "wear a mask, keep social distancing, avoid crowds. You can avoid those kinds of surges." He added, "you want to be part of the solution, not part of the problem."
