Facebook has been working on its gaming platform for quite some time, they had originally scheduled release for June but accelerated plans, hoping to engage people seeking entertainment during the coronavirus pandemic.

Facebook said over 700 million of its 2.5 billion monthly users already engage with gaming content.

To Give the competition to their rivalry competitions Amazon’s Twitch, Google’s YouTube and Microsoft’s Mixer services.

Facebook designed largely for creating and watching live gameplay, a fast-growing online sector.

People are loving the new era of watching their favorite personality to play the type of games they like.

The company tested the Facebook Gaming app in Southeast Asia and Latin America over the last 18 months and plans to release it on the Google Play Store for Android devices.

Versions for iOS will be released once Apple approves them, according to Facebook.

Vector game room with people playing digital entertainment, modern esports concept. Night stream with friends in neon light in the club, lounge. Joysticks, gamepads, and players in cozy armchairs.

NO ADVERTISING IN THE STARTING

Facebook said they first develop the gaming audience to their taste then they focus on advertising.

A function called Go Live will let users upload streams of other mobile games on the same device by pressing a few buttons.

Those streams can then be shared with someone’s personal Facebook page.

They are potentially making it much easier for people to become amateur streamers.

Advertising is their least concern although they will be adding other ways to make money.
