Hasbro has officially begun to recall their recently released Poppy talking doll, marketing the 'Trolls: World Tour' movie, due to a social media uproar. The toy in question has a button placed in what one might assume the dolls genitals would be if they had any, and when pressed, the doll gasps.

Many concerned consumers led the charge against the toy's release, claiming that the placement of the button could be considered grooming of children for pedophilia, a disturbing notion in the recent public child sex trafficking news

Jamie Nelson Cornaby, in a now viral video, shares her worries: "As you all know, stuff that's been going on in the world about the sex trafficking in kids and things that are thrown in our kids' faces to kind of groom them and make them kind of a little bit more oblivious to things that are really happening."

Many parents pointed out that the button in question was not mentioned on the box or in any advertisement.

Hasbro stated, “This feature was designed to react when the doll was seated, but we recognize the placement of the sensor may be perceived as inappropriate. This was not intentional, and we are happy to provide consumers with a replacement Poppy doll of similar value through our Consumer Care team. We are in the process of removing the item for purchase.”
