As if 2020 didn't hold enough surprises, a new gaming console has been launched by KFC. The more surprising part? It includes a built-in chicken warmer. The company has stated that the console was created by a global hardware maker (Cooler Master) that designs other gaming machines and that it can run high-spec games. "This machine is capable of running games at top-level specs, all on top of keeping your meal warm for you to enjoy during your gaming experience... what's not to like?" KFC spokesman Mark Cheevers told the BBC.

The device was teased by KFC in June but many wrote it off as a gag, although it is clear now that is not the case. The device is supposed to feature cross-platform capability and the shape resembles a KFC bucket. Little is known about details at the moment such as cost and when the console will be available for purchase.

The console will include a chicken warmer and integrates a unique cooling system to compensate for the chicken chamber. This isn't the first time KFC has partnered to create items outside of its traditional brand, last February KFC worked with Crocs to created a limited edition shoe that was printed with fried chicken. “If Sony or Microsoft want any tips on how to engineer a chicken chamber for their efforts next time, they’d be welcome to get in touch.” KFC said.
