Kim Kardashian And Jameela Jamil Engage In A Social Media Feud

The Kardashians have one again succeeded to grab headlines, with an ongoing debate about Kim Kardashian’s new maternity line for her brand Skims. Apart from the public, the reality Tv star and businesswoman has received an indirect answer from Celebrity Jameela Jamil about how the new line is going to adversely affect the millions of woman who follow the star.

Kim Kardashian's shapewear brand was launched yesteryear, along with controversy as Kim initially named the brand after the Japanese clothing piece ‘Kimono’ which was later changed to skims. On September 12th, Kardashian launched an opening post for her new maternity line debuting pregnant women modeling for the different shapewear items.

Soon after, The Good Place actress Jameela Jamil shared her opinion on the creation of pregnancy-focused clothing by captioning her post with ‘I wish we could just Normalize just focusing on the inside of a pregnant body, not the outside. You don’t need your shape corrected or hidden.’ ‘If I ever have a baby I’m welcoming the stretch marks, the new curves, and I’m sure as shit not gonna rush to try and snap back, I’m just gonna let my body heal from the Massive event that has occurred inside my body.’

After receiving immense criticism and backlash, Kardashian finally responded with a series of tweets that explained that the purpose of the collection was to provide support and relaxation to the expecting ladies for problems like combating back pain and leg swelling with. She added that the belly area of her items consisted of a thinner material to not compress the belly and manage the extra weight the expecting mother carries, While she opened up about pregnant woman asking her to create the line, she reflected on her pregnancies wishing the shapewear would have been there before.

Maternity Solutionwear includes items like a sculpting bra, mid-thigh bodysuit, and high waisted briefs, available in nine colors ranging from XXS to 5X which will launch on September 16th.
