A new biography about the former Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, is out, and it reveals startling details about the media-scrutinized celebrity. "Finding Freedom: Harry and Meghan and the Making of a Modern Royal Family" by Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand is an independent Meghan Markle biography that was released on August 11. The Duke and Duchess have not personally contributed to the book, but anonymous sources close to the story and the writers own and the writers own designation as royal press corps have been tapped for details. Of the many secrets listed in Finding Freedom, the most startling one concerns with Meghan’s divorce, her highly publicised split with ex-husband Trevor Engelson.

Meghan Markle had married acclaimed Hollywood producer Trevor Engelson in 2011. The marriage, however, fell apart in 2013. There are numerous speculations about what led to the couple’s divorce, but none have been confirmed to be true. But Finding Freedom has revealed the answer to the mystery, and it is quite straightforward.

Meghan and Engelson were together for 7 long years. During the early years of the marriage, Engleson was the breadwinner along with being Markle's gateway into Hollywood. But all that changed when Markle landed herself a lead role in the drama Suits.

After Markle landed her breakthrough role as Rachel Zane in the television drama series "Suits" shortly after their engagement, which meant the "dynamic was changing," the friend added. "And he didn't like that."

Finding freedom also reveals several other major and trivial details about Markle’s life, from her date nights in front of the TV at Kensington Palace, to her meeting with the queen.
