The FBI is currently working with local Los Angeles law enforcement today as multiple sightings by airline pilots of a mystery man flying with a jet pack were reported.

“Tower, American 1997. We just passed a guy in a jet pack,” said the pilot during the first sighting on Sunday. The plane at the time was ten miles out, and 3,000 feet in the air. The craft reported seeing the man in a jet pack to the left side. In a serious response, the tower warns a JetBlue flight of the possible encounter.

"Jet Blue 23, use caution, a person in a jet pack reported 300 yards south of the LA final at about 3,000 feet, 10 mile final," the tower said in the recording.

The FBI investigation is ongoing, but has so far not determined the identity of the mystery flyer. However, if discovered, they will likely be charged with obstruction of flight paths and endangerment of aircraft.

What do you think? The pilots who spotted the jet pack man are certainly no strangers to spotting hazards in the sky, and the confirmation of more than one report seems difficult to ignore. Is someone out there taking joyride in the sky, or is it nothing more than pure nonsense?
