Recipe: Easy Egg 'Biscuits'

These aren't really biscuits, but the good news is you don't have to warm up your oven or spend your whole morning over an oven to make them! These biscuits, in my opinion, taste just like a buttered biscuit, and a lot less eggy than you'd expect. Plus, you can turn it into a biscuit sandwich by adding sausage, bacon, tomato, basil, or anything you like! All you need to make them is a few simple ingredients, and you'll be scrolling on your phone eating in no time!


1 egg

1/4 tsp salt

1/8 tsp pepper

1/8 tsp cream of tartar


1. Separate the egg white from the yolk.


2. Whisk together the yolk, salt, pepper, and cream of tartar in a small bowl.


3. Stir in the egg whites.


4. Transfer mixture to a coffee mug. Place mug in the microwave and heat on high for approximately 2 minutes.


Now you have a fluffy egg biscuit in the perfect shape, and you never had to turn on the oven! You can also make these by the dozen in your oven at 350°F in a lined muffin tin, but I find that the microwave's moisture retention gives it the exact right consistency. Enjoy!
