Keto and other low carb diets are hard. Like any diet, there are some significant compromises in what you can eat, and generally, our favorite foods aren't on the menu. Bread is a big no-no on keto!

With a keto diet, the idea is to limit carbohydrate intake enough to kick your body into ketosis: when your body begins to make ketones. There are some doubts as to the effectiveness of this diet, so be sure to check in with your healthcare provider before you start.

Now, how do you make breading for your favorite foods... without bread? Using pork rinds! Pork rinds are the dried and fried skin of pork products, sometimes flavored, and available in most stores. Coat your favorite food in beaten eggs, and follow the recipe:

2 cups finely crushed pork rinds

1 tsp salt

1 tsp black pepper

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

Mix together in a bowl. Roll egg-coated food in the mixture, and fry or bake as desired, until coating is golden brown. Do not overcrowd food while cooking.
