While we haven't gotten Season 4 of Stranger Things yet, we are getting some new content. The cast of Stranger Things played Dungeons & Dragons and the whole thing was recorded and will be available on the Stranger Things YouTube channel on Friday at 10:00 A.M. PT. the game will include David Harbour (Jim Hopper), Finn Wolfhard (Mike Wheeler), Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin Henderson), Natalia Dyer (Nancy Wheeler), and the DM will be Chris Perkins. Perkins is the principal story designer for "Dungeons & Dragons" maker Wizards of the Coast.

The D&D session is a holiday themed one-shot called "Lost Odyssey: Toy Time for Ten-Towns." Wizards of the Coast filmed the game at cinematic quality using SOLO Cinebot, a robot camera which allowed the session to be shot fully remote. Josh Shadid, co-founder of SOLO Cinebot said, "The most astounding feedback we’ve been receiving from our systems is how it’s elevated a lot of traditional productions, instead of simply filling in the gaps of what was lost from COVID... For example, we’ve been told the celebrity and athlete interviews filmed on SOLO have been much more genuine and intimate than what they often get on traditional sets. Instead of asking talent to travel halfway across the world to sit in for an interview, surrounded by a crew in a studio — our talent is alone in their living room, comfortable, with nowhere to rush off to, free of potential prying eyes and ears and giving a more relaxed, honest performance.”

Dungeons & Dragons has been integral to Stranger Things since the very first episode of the series where the kids are playing a session in the show. The arc of the first season is based around D&D where many aspects of the role-playing game are referenced such as the "Vale of Shadows' and the monster of the series, the Demogorgon. You can even purchase a Stranger Things D&D starter set if you want to get into the RPG.
