Filming TikTok on the street? Think again, because a woman in Surat, India recently ran into an unfortunate and frankly gory accident while she was trying to do so. In a video that has gone viral on the internet, a stray dog can be seen approaching a woman from behind while she is performing on a hit Bollywood track. The woman doesn’t notice the dog proceeding towards her, and this negligence lands her in an unfortunate mess of an injury.

While TikTok has been banned in India over the state’s political animosity with China, viral videos of Indian TikTok celebrities are still floating around the internet. Priya Golani is a TikTok celebrity with more than 1.5 million followers, and she is known for regularly posting her choreography on the social media platform.

In a video she posted to TikTok, Priya can be seen dancing along the tunes of a very popular Bollywood song. Her performance; however, is cut short as a street dog sneaks up on her from behind and pierces his teeth through her thigh leaving a painful bite.

In a subsequent video, Golani can be seen dressing her wounds. She had reportedly received 5 injections to prevent her injury from developing into an infection.

Stray dog attacks are not uncommon But the particular instance involving Golani is being downplayed given the exceptional circumstances surrounding the issue. TikTok users argue that the dog was put out by Golani’s performance, therefore it approached her while she performed. But as Golani did not suspend her act to ward off the dog, the canine felt alarmed and left and bite in self-defence.

 Fortunately, Golani is doing well and she is uploading stories daily to her Instagram now that India has suspended all TikTok services.
