With Thanksgiving and the holiday's right around the corner, I am constantly in search of heart-warming stories. The gas incident in Lawrence and Andover area was pretty crazy, and left thousands of people left without their homes unexpectedly. I can't imagine being in that situation especially around the holidays.
Thanksgiving is my favorite time of year. I love the fall weather, and I most of all love all of the food that this great holiday has to offer. It really is a warm gesture by Columbia gas to provide hot meals to families still unable to be in their homes this holiday. After all that these people have been through in the last couple of months, I think it is safe to say that they more than deserve a proper Thanksgiving spread. Holidays are meant to be surrounded by the people you love the most, all enjoying food and being merry after all. Columbia gas has put these people through quite the whirl wind, and it is nice of them to give back and make it known that they actually care about their customers and people who have been burdened by these issues.
I feel for any of these families who have to spend their Thanksgiving in somewhere other than their house. Hopefully most of these people have families they can visit or a place they can go that feels like home. At the very least, they will certainly have a nice hot meal waiting for them.
