After a successful venture into the Horror genre with ‘The Haunting of Hill House’, the popular streaming service Netflix has introduced us to yet another chilling adventure of a horror gothic romance via ‘The Haunting of Bly Manor.’ The second chapter of the horror anthology has locked its premiere date to be October 9th, already sending the viewers into a Halloween frenzy before October 31st.
The second installment explores the drama that revolves around after the newly assigned nanny (Victoria Pedretti) to two orphan children discovers that there is much more to the residence they stay in which happens to be the mysterious Bly Manor. Along with Victoria Pedretti, Henry Thomas, Kate Seigel, and Jackson-Cohen are also supposed to make a comeback on digital screens after their characters went through some spine-chilling scenes in The Haunting of Hill House which opened up to the story of the Crain family and how they dealt with the ghost residing Hill house even years after they left the terrifying residence.
A teaser trailer released by the digital streamers opens curtains to Pedretti’s character stepping upon a doll while another happens to move on its own, a freezing lake that paves way for an emerging woman and a floating body, one of the orphans sushing an unidentified creepy voice and a few more details that viewers are anticipating to dive into once the show hits the screens.
The upcoming drama has taken inspiration from Henry James 1898 novella The Turn of the Screw. Mike Flanagan who created and directed the first installment is returning for his duties for Bly Manor, with executive producer Trevor Macy joining the crew too.
