It’s usually the assumption that the beginning of any work should start with an outline in which to guide you on your writing journey. But often times, for some not all, an outline can stilt the writing process because the writer is too structured in trying to write to fit the outline.
Try starting with just writing. The first page or even just a couple paragraph. It may be the worst thing you’ve ever written, but the organic way in which you wrote it could land you on a good path to understand where you need to go or what may need to come before. Build an outline from the already established writing and then dive back in.
