Lin Qi, Chinese billionaire CEO of video game developer Yoozoo Group and soon to be Netflix producer, dies after an alleged poisoning on Christmas Day. According to Shanghai police, there was a plot to poison the CEO and a man has been detained as a suspect - Lin's colleague, Xu Yao -  in the case. Lin was hospitalized on December 16th after becoming ill last week. Reports say that he was so sick he was barely able to walk.

Xu is a senior executive for Yoozoo's film and television division and apparently, there was infighting among the company which may have lead to the poisoning of Lin. In 2015, the company acquired the rights to The Three Body Problem in 2015 and plans were set to develop the film but the production team consistently struggled. Eventually the film rights were sold to Netflix and the gaming rights were sold to another Chinese company.

Lin was 39 at the time of his death and his contributions to the gaming industry will live on. Toozoo is best known for their game, Game of Throne: Winter is Coming and League of Angels.
